April 5 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

REGISTER NOW

Description

Approximately 29% of the U.S. population, provide care for a chronically ill, disabled, or aged family member or friend and spend an average of 20 hours per week providing care for their loved one. Approximately 66% of family caregivers are women. The stress of family caregiving for persons with dementia has been shown to impact a person's immune system that can last up to three years after their caregiving ends. Many family caregivers report not going to the doctor as often as they should. They also report having poor eating habits and worse exercise habits than before caregiving responsibilities. Anita Ciano, Visiting Nurse Service, will address how caregivers can combat stress and will provide information on resources like long-term care.

This event will not offer health screenings and the presentation will start on time at 7 pm. You don't want to miss this important topic. Bring a friend.
